Good Morning “Joyful Noise Makers.” Today we are in Psalm 100.
“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!” Psalm 100:1-2 ESV
Today’s Psalm urges EVERYONE to worship and serve The Lord. In demonstration of our love we ought to sing joyfully! Notice it doesn’t say sing perfectly! Or… even on pitch!
We all love to hear children singing praises to Jesus. It’s gotta be one of the sweetest sounds one could ever hear. Do we even really notice if they’re on pitch or not? Not really the point is it? Their hearts and their worship is so REAL!
Now imagine our God listening to the praises of His children… that’s you and me! He just wants our hearts, He wants our worship to be real! Holding back because “we don’t sing well”… just seems selfish. When we hold back it shows we’re more concerned with what people think than what God thinks.
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalm 100:4 Our worship brings us into His courts…
Sing with me now, I know you know the song… “For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalms 100:4-5
For the Lord is good…
Love you all! Dig in!
