Good Morning “Patient.” Today we are in Habakkuk 2.
Yesterday I left you with one of Habakkuk’s questions… in essence, Habakkuk wondered, Why does God tolerate the treacherous? Why do they go on taking advantage - committing evil atrocities?
Gods answer… they won’t continue for long. It may seem like a long wait as we count time… but God has a plan. His timing is ALWAYS perfect.
“For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3 NIV
To those who take advantage, oppress, abuse, operate dishonestly so that they might advance themselves… God will use the fruit of their own sin to bring about their judgment.
“…The cup from the Lord’s right hand is coming around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory. Habakkuk 2:16b NIV
Prophecy gives us a glimpse of what’s to come. May it serve to convict and warn as well as comfort and reassure us that God is ALWAYS in control. May we simply TRUST instead of sitting in criticism and even judgment of Gods perfect timing. He has purpose, even in the waiting (Romans 12:19, 2 Peter 3:3-10).
Love you all! Dig in and live it out!
