Psalm 108

Good Morning “Always Praisers.”  Today we are in Psalm 108.

A Psalm of David… He begins by stating he is steadfast, he will sing and make music with all his soul to all the nations!  Then… a song recognizable to us today!  We’re still echoing David’s praises today!

“My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul. Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭108‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So what incredible victory or deliverance is David praising God for here?  If you haven’t read it yet - check it out.

It hasn’t happened yet!  David is steadfast, praising The Lord among the nations - giving us words to a worship song we sing even today… for what God is going to do!  His faith leads him to praise God BEFORE the blessing!

“Be exalted, O God
Above the heavens
Let Thy glory be over all the earth…”

What?  Next level faith right here!

But wait… isn’t that what Jesus told us?

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark‬ ‭11‬:‭24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The caveat of course, is that we are in step with Jesus through The Holy Spirit.  He promises to answer our prayers accordingly when we are one with Him and His Word, illuminated by the Holy Spirit in us as our guide!  We don’t somehow use the right magic words to get him to see things our way… we, by His Word, get in step with Him
(John 15:7, John 14:13-14).

David in this Psalm knows he’s centered in Gods will… thus he’s singing out in praise, for the response he knows is coming!

Extraordinary Faith - “The man after Gods own heart.”

Love you all!  Dig in!
