Psalm 110

Good Morning “Not Blind in Faith”
Today we are in Psalm 110, another Psalm of David.

“The LORD says to my Lord…” vs 1.
Wait… what?  So is David the small letter Lord?  Ummm, no read on… only ONE person ever met and meets the description of this Psalm!

Jesus is coming back!!! Just ask David!  Check it out… right from the start we know something is different about this Psalm.  David inspired by the Holy Spirit, prophecies about the coming Savior of The World.

Jesus came to bring war on evil (Matthew 10:34-36).  He has already proven His defeat over sin and death at the cross, and in so doing paid the price of our sin (Romans 3:23, 6:23).  Through Him we can be saved from sin, death and condemnation (Romans 5:8, 10:9, 8:1).  If you have received Jesus you have no reason to fear death… Jesus will come back in the air, for His people (John 14:1-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Then a day is coming when He will return in wrath with the armies of Heaven to judge the nations once and for all!  He will crush kings! (Psalm 110, Revelation 19:11-16)

The question remains: If He has already conquered sin and death, and He has already proven His defeat over Satan, why this time of waiting for His return? Are they still planning up there?  Absolutely not.

The plan is set.  It always has been.  God has given us a glimpse of what will be through prophecy like this one.  We are fortunate in that we have even more than prophecy.  We have the life (and all that He did), the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus - so that we might believe and have faith in the things to come.  (1 Peter 1:19-21, John 20:30-31).

Being in The Word, daily recounting His promises bolsters our faith!  It’s a must, not an option.  Faith is not blind as some like to call it!  The evidence is CLEARLY seen.

What is God waiting for?  Why the delay in Christs return?

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The time for repenting of our sin and turning to Him - then sharing this Good News is now!  It’s the reason He called us (Romans 8:28-29)

Love you all!  Dig in!
