Good Morning “one together”. Today we are in Psalm 122.
“I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” Psalms 122:1 NIV
David knew there was really something special in worshiping together. It wasn’t just that coming together was commanded of The Lord… he treasured it! Anyone who’s ever cleared those distracting things from their minds and come together to worship together with the Body of Believers, understands the reason for David’s rejoicing. The movement of The Holy Spirit through a body humbly submitted in worship is undeniable. You can feel it… something happens.
It’s that something (the movement of The Spirit) that should serve to draw us back together as often as possible. Understand the purpose behind Gods command, both for Israel to come together and us (Hebrews 10:19-24). He wants us to experience that which I’ve tried described, that which David is excited about.
He wants us to long to be one together and one with Him! Check out John chapter 17. Read Jesus prayers to the Father before His crucifixion. His prayer was not that we wouldn’t struggle, not that the world would be bunnies and rainbows for us, but that we ALL would be One - even as Jesus and The Father are One. Check it out - don’t take my word for it.
Love you all! Dig in!
