Good Morning “Redeemed”. Today we are in Isaiah 35.
“All roads lead to heaven.” Ummm NO! “How can you as a Christian, so arrogantly believe your way is the only way?” Well… it’s definitely not my Way… it’s Gods Way. In fact He, Jesus that is, is The ONLY Way, The Truth and The Life. NOBODY comes to The Father (His abode is in Heaven), but through Jesus (John 14:6!).
The day is coming. No more blind, no more deaf, no more lame… our glorified bodies will be perfect! Oh what a day. It’s coming… As much as we may want it to be so, not all will be there.
We’ve been talking a lot the last few days, and Pastor Craig has been preaching the last few weeks, asking the question, “In view of all that God has done, our salvation, redemption, blessing - what should we be willing to give Him? What do we owe Him? What are we willing to give? Roman’s 12:1 makes it clear… EVERYTHING.
The evidence of a heart that recognizes THAT, and truly loves Him is our obedience to His Word. Our works don’t save us - but they do demonstrate we are saved. Now make no mistake, someone who is lost can still perform good works… and may give the appearance of salvation (Matthew 7:21-23), but Jesus won’t be fooled.
“… only the redeemed will walk there, and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.”
Isaiah 35:9-10 NIV
Someone who truly knows Jesus and is in-dwelt with The Holy Spirit, cannot, at least should - not remain the same (Galatians 2:20, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 6:6, Colossians 3:3).
